The Real Reality Stars

In spite of the recent Reality TV shows, being classy and fabulous it isn't about designer clothes, shoes or handbags. Now, don't get it twisted (Lol), I like fabulous things. However, I don't allow those things to define what kind of woman I am. If you don't mind I would like to share a few things I have learned about being classy and fabulous. Reality TV show casts are considered to be reality stars; however, I would like to suggest that a classy and fabulous woman are the true reality stars. A pattern star has about five to six, pointed edges and about 12 sides depending on the star. I would like to draw your attention to the six-pointed edges on the star. A classy & fabulous woman in my opinion has multiple qualities that make her classy.  However, for this discussion I will only focus on six of those qualities.

With that being said, here are my 6 qualities of a classy & fabulous woman.
1. Self confidence - A confident woman can walk into a room and people take notice of her. They are intrigued, not necessarily because of her physical appearance, but instead by her self-assurance. She releases a fragrance that states, "I am not cocky, I am just confident." There are a few traits of a confident women that I adore: she knows her strengths and uses them, she is not jealous, because she understands that she is an original, and she isn't afraid to affirm and celebrate another woman.

2. Authenticity - More and more woman today are having identity problems. Be true to your personality and character. Oscar Wilde famous quote "Be yourself, everyone else is taken." Authenticity is placing value on yourself and telling the world "I am an original, and not a carbon copy."

3. Respectable - Sometimes I love to watch those old English movies, were the woman showed elegance, modesty and respect. They knew how to act like a lady and displayed  grace and sophistication. If a woman has a nice figure, people will notice without her exposing to much of herself. A respectable woman is manner-able and carries a positive attitude.

4. Lovely -  A lovely woman is more than her physical appearance. She is the fresh fragrance after the rain. She has the ability to give love even when her heart is broken. Her love grows from each fiber of her being. Her love and kindness is an under estimated power that can influence nations.

5. Industrious -  Working towards a goal or fulfilling a dream isn't the easiest thing to accomplish, when you're a woman. But an industrious woman prepares, plans and work hard to fulfill and pursue her passion. On this mission failure is not an option. She understands that  discipline and sacrifices is the fringe benefits of obtaining her goals. She is financial savvy and knows how to spend her buck.

6. Service - Giving, is one of those mysterious vein or artery that connects a woman's heart to her brain. Most woman give so much and gain so little. But a woman who truly understands, enjoy serving her family and community. She knows that her service isn't the true gift, but what she receives is priceless.

*Ladies, I believe that  these are a few qualities we should all possess. Remember being classy & fabulous  comes with responsibilities. I challenge you to be a true Reality Star of your own show.

24 hours

What would your life be like, if you followed your dreams and live your passion— not your mother's dreams for you, not what your friends think your good at, and especially not what feels comfortable or convenient; but what you desired to do? Too many women seem to be living for everyone but themselves, or they are too afraid to make a decision that will stir up good trouble. I began asking women, "What is your passion?", and many of them didn't have an answer. Or if they did, they weren't putting any effort to make their dream a reality. How many of you when asked that same question, would have answered "one day". Unfortunately, for some people that one day will never come because of death, sickness, and fear. I once heard, If you only have 24 hours in a day, your success is depend upon "how you use your 24hrs." Every human, whether you are Oprah, Bill Gates, President Obama or the janitor at the local high school; are all given the same amount of hours in a day. The differences is how you use your time. Stop waiting for that "one day" opportunity and create your opportunity today.

Hey girlfriend

Welcome to the girlfriends blog, a place where you and I can really chat and get to know each other. If you don't mind, I would like to share a little about myself. I am a daughter, sister and a mother. I have a passion to help women re-discover their passions and live their dreams. As a woman we play many different roles. On average we wear about five different hats daily, fulfilling everyone's needs accept our own. For example, we often times are the nurturer, lover, helper, housekeeper, advisor, supporter and the list goes on and on. And at the end of the day many of us are left in need. Well, my desire is to inspire you to maximize your potential and awaken those life long dreams that you abandoned years ago. And, hopefully alone the way we can share our life experiences as friends. So let's begin this journey together.
